It will be decomposed in alcohol and not decomposed in water, slightly soluble in benzene and there is no mechanical admixture in the product. It can be easily hydrolyzed into colloid polymer of silicon dioxide and alcohol. It can absorb water in the damp air and become turbid. After stewing it can become clarifying and precipitate silicic acid.
Packing Packed in iron drums. Net weight: 50 KGS or 200 KGS. It also can be packed according to the special requirement for shipment.
Applications It is mainly used as a crosslinking agent in silicone polymers and as a precursor to silicon dioxide in the semiconductor industry.
Other applications include coatings for carpets and other objects. It is used in the production of aero gel. These applications exploit the reactivity of the Si-OR bonds.
