Ascend Lianyungang 200,000-ton hexamethylenediamine project EIA accepted

Latest News: On June 13, the website of Xuwei New District released the acceptance status of the environmental impact assessment documents for the 200,000-ton/year 1,6-hexanediamine project of Ascend Functional Materials (Lianyungang) Co., Ltd. ‘s announcement. The main contents of the project are as follows:

Project scope: The project scope of this project is the scope of the first phase of the Ascend Company’s project, excluding the adiponitrile, hydrogen input boundary and hexamethylenediamine output pipeline transportation project outside the boundary (from the ocean Jing Petrochemical will be transported to the project boundary through the public pipe gallery of the park).

Working system: Four shifts and three operations, 333 working days per year, operating hours
8000h, continuous production.

On the afternoon of January 12 this year, Xuwei New District and Ascend Functional Materials Co., Ltd. held a signing ceremony for the nylon resin industry chain project at the Land Bridge Product Exhibition Center. Ascend announced that it will build a new production base in Xuwei New District, Lianyungang City, Jiangsu Province, China to produce hexamethylenediamine and specialty chemicals, further expanding its global presence. The investment is Ascend’s first chemical production site outside the United States and the company’s largest investment outside the United States to date. Ascend’s Lianyungang production base will start construction in 2022 and is expected to officially start production in the second half of 2023. The site will produce hexamethylenediamine and specialty chemicals to feed Ascend’s own global polyamide production, as well as supply regional customers.
